A wreath on your front door is our must have decor piece for Christmas! Welcoming guests to your home before they’ve even stepped inside.

There are quite a few different techniques you can use to hang your wreath without causing damage to your door, but it mainly comes down to either hanging it from the back or supporting it from the top. Here are our favourite options. Whichever method you choose, please bear in mind the weight of your chosen wreath, as the method must be able to support it.

Wreath Hanger

An over the door wreath hanger lets you hang your wreath without sticking or nailing anything to your door.  This is one of the easiest methods and reliable. The top of the hanger hooks onto the top of the door, while the bottom supports the wreath. These hangers are widely available from home decor shops.

Self-adhesive hook

Easy to attach and remove without damage to your door, a clear self-adhesive hook is a great option to hang your wreath on.

Ribbon

Ribbon can be used to suspend your wreath from the top of the doorway to avoid any unsightly pins.

Clear Suction hook

If you’ve a glass door a clear suction hook might be a good option for you. Ensure you get one that can hold the right amount of weight

Nails

You may already have a nail in your door, or a hole where a nail once was… this works and is a secure method. Simply place our twig base wreaths over it. The downside of this method, is putting a nail in your door will cause damage and leave a hole.
